It would be one thing if it came after the 2 min mark but if you ask me I think it looks like obvious time filler and don't really get why it wasn't docked some points as opposed to videos that look like they were truly edited for the 2 whole mins.

Frankly, I think it's pointless to complain about judging and it's also lame since this is my category... but after having watched almost all of the videos now, I do have to say I find some of the results questionable. I know it's hard to judge like 140 videos. But I still wonder what the biggest criteria was?! It doesn't seem to be creativity, editing ability and effort, at least to my eyes. A couple of videos that placed really high had an atmosphere that didn't match the songs chosen at all. I know I'm by far not the only one who thinks that, and it looks like there was a lot of personal taste involved, from what I can see.
I really enjoyed the contest, so it just felt wrong not to say anything. If possible, I'd like to join again, but on the other hand it really leaves a bitter taste in your mouth if you feel like you gave it your all and then the judging seems to be unfair. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not totally pleased with my rank. Which isn't because I think it's a low ranking (8th really isn't), but because I feel like the videos that placed higher than me (other than the top three, obviously), were much weaker in my eyes. (No offense to anyone, but I masked, manipulated, clear/own storyline matching the song, and I can't find that many faults in the editing) Still, I'm obviously talking about a couple of people joining the Romance category here, and EllipseIris rank really has to be a joke.

Anyway, it's probably tl;dr anyway, but ya.

Usually, i have a lot of problems with the rankings but this time, for the moment, i found that the results are very good for me.
It's technics+atmosphery+ CLEAN. And, maybe, originality can give bonus point, but the clean, for me, is now the first principal point.
The level isn't bad. The video of EllipseIris isn't horrible, but there is just better than his video. This result don't say that the EllipseIris's video is bad and not working, but just that there is other video in this contest that were better, it's easy. 'but i'm ok that i like very much the EllipseIris'video' and good technics too, but more fixe for me, but it's personnel. Just to say that judges aren't all the same opinion. We can just accept and wait their comment after the contest for you.
I think that the results, for the moment, are very objective.

I can understand your complains about all of this, but it's a contest we can't all agree on rankings unfortunately even i had another visions of top romance/dance, but i'm not the judge neither are you guys so this is how the game is played and what we've signed up for   

Yup, agree with Dn@, rules can't change. But I see a lot of critics this year, it's alarming. Still 3 categories, maybe these rankings will be better  

Instead of whining, get better, win the IC and then you can judge as you wish
